Chief of the Administrative Reform Council

The President of the Council for National Security in Thailand is the head of the Council for National Security. Formerly The Chief of the Administrative Reform Council. This is the name of the current military regime governing the Kingdom of Thailand following the 2006 coup d'état ousting Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Chief of the Administrative Reform Council was therefore the Head of Government in Thailand, before the junta named Surayud Chulanont the new Prime Minister of Thailand on 1 October 2006.

Army commander General Sonthi Boonyaratglin currently holds the title.
