I came to ask why you were removing a category without explanation; I now see that you're trying to get it merged. You must nnot depopulate a category while it's under discussion. In general:

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. I moved many players over prior to our discussion, and did not enter an edit summary. I will do a better job with this in the future Chesterfield99 21:26, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

OK, I understand that you did most of the depopulating before you realised that you shouldn't, but now you do know, you must stop, even if there's only one article left. It won't be long beofre the decision is taken, so it's no big deal, surely.

By the way, there's something slightly wrong with this page; it's impossible to edit just this section — you get a new section instead. I haven't checked, but I expect there's something wonky with the coding of someone's message above. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 22:12, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
