[edit] Find an admin

Find an admin with Check User abilities to compare the accounts. That will confirm or deny your suspicions. Cheers!--Sallicio\color{Red} \oplus 03:58, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

This blocked user (block log | autoblocks | rangeblocks | unblock | contribs | deleted contribs) has asked to be unblocked, but an administrator has reviewed and declined this request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock request while you are blocked.

Request reason: "Take a look at my contribs. I wasn't trolling an RfA, I was--and am--raising specific concerns, which have not been dismissed. The block is unwarranted, and serves to sabotage a legitimate process of comment on an RfA."

Decline reason: "I don't see any reason why you couldn't have posted your concerns using your main account; if you have some private information you can't divulge in public, e-mail the Arbitration Committee. (Asking other users to e-mail you is not a proper course of action.) Request to unblock denied. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 09:29, 12 February 2008 (UTC) "

Please make any further unblock requests by using the {{unblock}} template. However, abuse of the template may result in your talk page being protected.

This user has been fully vindicated, see Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Snocrates. His/her edits were clearly made in good faith. Please ensure that the autoblocker is also cleared. --Kim Bruning (talk) 19:45, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Are you even still interested in being unblocked? John Reaves 21:05, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I have unblocked this account because new information seems to indicate that the user was quite possibly acting in good faith, rather than trolling. Using an alternate account to report wrongdoing is not necessarily a violation of the sock puppetry policy. I am especially concerned that any autoblocks should not affect the user's main account. Thank you, all three of you (so far). Yes, I'm interested in being unblocked, if only to avoid the appearance of intentional wrongdoing on my part. I'm surprised too by the scope of Snocrates' doings, he certainly can be accused of being a genius. CheckIntentPlease (talk) 22:36, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
You seem to be ok now? --Kim Bruning (talk) 22:55, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, yes and no. It's a relief to be unblocked and un-stigmatized (rehabilitated!) But I still have those concerns I have discussed via email, and am still not comfortable publicly discussing them. CheckIntentPlease (talk) 23:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
If you email Arbcom, one of them will probably sort it out offline. Jehochman Talk 00:40, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] I answered your email

Let me know if there's anything else. Dlohcierekim Deleted? 16:41, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Snocrates revisited

Claims a partner or room mate was also editng from that IP with a different user name. Sounds innocent enough. An admin candidate though should probably have understood policy well enough to spell out the shared IP ahead of time and to not let the other person edit in the same discussions. [edit] Apologies

Almost forgot. I apologize for my rudeness on the Snocrates RfA. I was trying to provoke a response to try to figure out if you were legit or not. I guess the block short circuited that. At any rate, it was not my intent to attack you, just to see if you had something more substantial to offer, and I do apologize for coming across as I did.

Don't know whether to communicate this way or via email, so I've sent one as well. Cheers, and happy editing. Dlohcierekim Deleted? 20:40, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I did get your emails and, as I say in my reply, no apologies necessary. You are obviously an adept and honest administrator, and as we know, sh*t happens, understandable misunderstandings, I mean. Plus, it was nice that my ability to edit this page, or to email fellow editors was not blocked when my account was blocked. Various other organizations could learn from Wikipedia's framework, there being plenty of options for dispute resolution here. CheckIntentPlease (talk) 02:54, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
