It seems that the term "Chemist" would be more appropriate here: the job has existed under that title in Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy Tactics, as opposed to "Alchemist," which has only been in Final Fantasy X-2. Any objections? – Seancdaug 02:16, July 10, 2005 (UTC)

I agree. I created these stub placements on a whim so I was just going through character classes mainly based on FFX-2 (and like I've said, my knowledge on early FFs is poor). I bet there won't be any objections with Chemist being the original version — Cuahl 04:43, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

I concur. In my latest edit I made mention of the Alchemist term in the recent games, but Chemist was the foundation (and we seem to be using the FFV designations on the bottom bar, anyway). -- Bankuroku 04:28, 12 July 2005 (UTC)

As per discussion at the Jobs sub-project of WPFF, this article will be merged into Final Fantasy character classes unless there is convincing argument to be made that it's notable enough for its own article. In this case, while the article is very long, the information about how the job functions in different games would be better suited to those games' articles, and some of the length comes close to violating Wikipedia is not a game guide.
