[edit] Name of Hospital

I recall that before the new hospital opened in the early 1990s it was referred to as the Westminster and Chelsea Hospital, before being officially opened as the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. A popular explanation for the change was the likelihood, if it ever acquired a Royal prefix, (as the London Hospital had around that time) of its becoming known as "The Royal WC."
