What is the provenance of this image? What rights do we have to it? -- Jmabel | Talk 23:09, Nov 22, 2004 (UTC)
Uncommented, anonymous edit 18 May 2005 changed this from "Che Guevara, a photo by Alberto Korda {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}" to "Mark Bolton {{CopyrightedFreeUse}}". I would guess that this was vandalism (since Korda seems likely, and I've never heard of Bolton), but not confidently enough to revert it. Can someone weigh in? -- Jmabel | Talk 05:20, May 19, 2005 (UTC)
From article Alberto Korda, about a different photo of Guevara: As a supporter of the ideals for which Che Guevara died, I am not averse to its reproduction by those who wish to propagate his memory and the cause of social justice throughout the world, but I am categorically against the exploitation of Che's image for the promotion of products such as alcohol, or for any purpose that denigrates the reputation of Che..
