Cherry Hill Arena
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cherry Hill Arena was an indoor arena located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, built in 1959. [1] It was originally known as the Ice House. The arena, which seated 4,416, hosted occasional home games of the Philadelphia Warriors and hosted the New Jersey Knights of the WHA for the 1973-1974 season. Previously, from 1964 through 1971, it was the venue used by the Jersey Devils of the Eastern Hockey League (no relation to today's New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League).[2] The arena was known in its later years as The Centrum.[1]
The Cherry Hill Arena was demolished and replaced by a shopping center.[1]
There is a shopping center across Brace Road called the Centrum Shops. This is not where the arena was.
