Cherie is a French pop and dance music artist whose 2004 hit "I'm Ready" hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. Cherie was born in 1984 in Marseilles, France.
Cherie also performed another of her debut singles, "Betcha Neva", in the 2003 animated feature Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman. Her ballad about the end of a relationship over an issue of age and maturity, "Older Than My Years", illustrated her talent as a songstress and prompted comparison to Celine Dion.
In 2004, Cherie was an opening act for Clay Aiken on his summer tour.
