Chemicals React is a pop rock song, co-written by and recorded for the deluxe edition of Aly & AJ's debut album Into the Rush. The song was the second main single from that album.

On The Sims 2: Pets, there is a Simlish version on the boombox that was recorded by Aly and AJ, who learned the song in Simlish for the game. The Simlish version (song, not music video) was released for digital download in the iTunes store on October 31, 2006.
A remix of the song was later included in Aly & AJ's second studio album Insomniatic.

The music video was directed by Chris Applebaum and features Aly & AJ performing the song live. It premiered in June 2006. On Hollywood Records's YouTube account, the video has accumulated over 1,000,000 plays.[1]

Chemicals React failed to chart on its first release in June 2006, but after its re-release in September 2006, the single charted in the United States. When it was released as the group's first UK single, it failed to chart.
