Chelsea Lately

Chelsea Lately is a late-night comedy talk show on the television channel E!. It stars comedian Chelsea Handler and premiered on the E! channel on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:30 PM Eastern Time, as a successor to the mini-series The Chelsea Handler Show. It is taped in Santa Monica, California, and the set was formerly used by a show on E!'s sister network G4, Attack of the Show! On March 11, 2008 Chelsea announced that the channel had ordered 150 new episodes.

Chelsea Lately is presented in a half-hour format, and airs every night, Monday through Friday at 11:30 PM. There is usually a panel of three comedians, actors, etc. who talk with her about celebrities and goings on in pop culture (they chat as what she refers to as her "round table"). Round Table regulars include Heather McDonald, John Caparulo, Loni Love, E! correspondent Jason Kennedy, Hyla Matthews, Jo Koy, actor Adrien Brody, and also pornstar legdend Lexington Steele . Handler also has an assistant named Chuy who sits across from the round table and interviews studio audience guests and participates alongside Handler in video segments for the show.

She often has celebrity guests that she interviews on the show. Notable guests who have appeared on the show include: Snoop Dogg, Howie Mandel, Debbie Harry and Ashanti. Handler stated to Jay Leno that she tries to have celebrities who have a sense of humor on her show.

On April 11, 2008, the show had its first musical performance featuring Ray J who performed his hit Sexy Can I alongside Yung Berg. Handler also has had english pop sensation Natasha Bedingfield perform her hit Pocketful of Sunshine, the second live performance.

According to Nielsen ratings, the show has averaged about 450,000 viewers since its July 2007 premiere.
