Cheese is a GNOME webcam application, Photo Booth-like. It was developed as a Google Summer of Code 2007 project by Daniel G. Siegel. It uses GStreamer to apply effects to photos and videos. It has export capabilities to Flickr and is integrated into GNOME (images can be used as gnome-about-me pictures).
From version 2.22.0, Cheese is officially a part of GNOME.
