Hello all! Great project! Just wanted to start my personal page (hopefully it won't collide with some important abbreviation!) so people can adress me personally when i'm doing faux pas!

Hi, Christian. The reason that the German site is used so much for images of European birds is that it is completely copyright-free (it states that somewhere else on the site). I've taken advantage of that on some of the articles to modify the images, eg to remove other birds. The only slight concern I would have is that some of the full-sized images are more than screen-sized for a user on 600x800 pixels, and might be slow to load on a dial up modem, but these are practical, rather than copyright, considerations.
I hope this helps, jimfbleak 06:05 29 May 2003 (UTC)

Hi, is this microphotograph of a zircon your own work? We need to know the copyright status. Thanks — Zeimusu | Talk 07:21, 17 Mar 2005 (UTC)
