I added a bit to the page. For recommendation; I think possibly the precursor and criticism sections should be combined. Also, major works of intereffectualists should be added. (I know a few- DesertHyphen is considered an intereffectualist text, correct?) as well as the major proponents and thinkers in the movement (who should probably also get their own pages). 66.65.55.82 (talk) 22:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Do you need to really add the "false intereffectuality" which focuses, in a Jamesonian move, on pop culture texts, to the history of intereffectuality? Maybe false intereffectuality deserves its own article?

---If you want to include a sentence or two about the conflicts in the group, you can, but calling it "false" or moving it to a new page is obv. in conflict with Wiki's POV standards. Also, as AFAIK the only major critique of the Jameson influence on intereffectuality was rebuked. False intereffectuality CAN be used as an NPOV term for those people who initially signed on to IE without realizing that its implications internally contradicted their work. I added Reimagining textuality to the refs. Chapters 3, 4 and 6 are especially germane to this discussion. Also see WP:CFORK for a discussion of when and when not to make a new article about a controversy within an existing article. The topic has no context. This article mentions that Intertextuality came before it, but does not bridge that movement with this one. Further, it fails to clarify what the issues are, give examples, or discuss its impact.
