[edit] Female Vice-Presidential nominee

This data was in a local Maine paper today, but is from a national column, from KovelsI. It is stated that a Lena Jones Springs was the first woman of a major party ever nominated to the Vice Presidency of the United States, at the 1924 Democratic National Convention.
