- Added that he is pictured on the Australian $20 note. Werdna648 01:55, 25 July 2005 (UTC)
- Actually AFAIK he was on the $20 paper note (1966-1994), but not on current the $20 polymer banknote. See Australian dollar. --68.198.246.166 01:55, 14 September 2005 (UTC)
He was a great bloke, he was nice he liked to help other people in times of crisis but most of all he was a pioneer. (Unsigned, undated comment)
Note the contradiction: He lived in Vancouver from 1905 to 1909, but was rescued on Bondi Beach in 1907. Did they go back and forth across the Pacific, or is there a problem here? 220.253.57.84 01:40, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Coffee Royal" Incident
I'm surprised there's no mention of the "coffee royal" affair in this article - it seems like it was a big deal at the time: http://www.wrcs.org.au/articles/32.htm —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 63.240.228.37 (talk • contribs).
- Yep, I was going to write about it a while back - I got as far as putting a section header in - but then I got distracted. FiggyBee 10:39, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Charles Kingsford smith 20 dollar note front big.jpg
Image:Charles Kingsford smith 20 dollar note front big.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
