This page on Charles Halpern should not be a candidate for speedy deletion because halpern is a notable figure in the history of the public interest law movement who has had a variety of newspaper and magazine articles published about him throughout his career. he co-founded a number of important public interest organizations(including the center for law and social policy, the alliance for justice and the bazelon center for mental health law), was the founding dean of CUNY law school, was the first president of the nathan cummings foundation, and currently serves as the chair of the contemplative mind in society.
