Before removing part of the text concerning his wife, it would have been better to read about Vergennes's wedding. It is not a detail because it is partly why he was called back to France and hence became foreign minister. Many talk about his wedding, always reporting the same errors. The text written in Wikipedia about his wife wanted to end these mistakes. You should think about puting some back. Maybe in a footnote ?

In Wikipedia, it is better to add than to reduce. Is there a need for space ?
