According to WW-Person, the on-line database of nobles, his title was marquis de Ruffec; it does not mention comte de Broglie, which a marquisate would supercede anyway. --Tkinias 07:17, 22 Nov 2004 (UTC)

It seems likely that comte de Broglie was a courtesy; according to an author who wrote extensively on the Secret, Ruffec came from his wife.
