[edit] Inaccuracies

Mechansim ยง indicates exhaustion of available oxygen which is incorrect. It is rather the increase in concentration of CO that results in poisoning as hemoglobin binds CO much more efficiently than it does O2. Also in other, presumably traumatic methods, it is the fear of the associated trauma that must be overcome, death is the same in any case. Also, I don't believe a suffocation reaction accompanies CO poisoning (as it does in C02 poisoning) when breathing is not impaired .74.78.162.229 (talk) 05:56, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
