Most sources seem to list the birth year as 1798. His 1870 death registration lists his age as 76 thus placing the birth year as 1794. A second issue with the birth year relates to the young ("kad havina talya") chanoch Henoch meeting his brother-in-law Rabbi Yechezkel Nomberg (who later became the rabbi in Lodz) and his brother-in-law's father when they came to Lutomiersk to prepare for the marriage to his sister Esther as related in the Omer Man/Tel Talpiyos published by his relative Meir Nomberg. The story was related by Rabbi Chanoch Henoch to Meir Nomberg in Aleksander at the end of his life. Based on Esther's death registration, she was born in 1800, making it unlikely that he was a young child at his sister's marriage. It is likely that either the story or the death registration documents are inaccurate. KosherJava (talk) 19:29, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
