[edit] Dallas Cowboys in unit

Who were the football players in the unit? (added by 209.36.200.2)

Good question. No one seems to have written out the complete list in a public article, but it is apparently available somewhere. Molly Ivins (RIP) had the names:
"Barnes testified in 1999 that the man who called him about little George Bush was Sid Adger, Poppy George Bush's dear and good friend. Let's ask Poppy about Sid Adger and see some of that "famous Bush loyalty."
And how would Adger know whom to call? Adger had two sons in that very unit of the Air National Guard, that's how he knew whom to call. The notorious "Champagne Unit" of the Guard was also graced by the son of former Gov. John Connally, both sons of Sen. Lloyd Bentsen, Bobby Sakowaitz (Houston department store money), the grandson of H.L. Hunt (Dallas Oil) and several players for the Dallas Cowboys football team." -- http://freepress.org/columns/display/1/2004/949

[edit] NPOV

Isn't this entire page an NPOV issue? I see weasel words and uncited statements all over. -Roswell Crash Survivor 03:03, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Could you point out some examples? Frankie 03:59, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
I'm not American (Finnish) nor especially pro-one, but seeing an article about draft evaders, especially the section about the 147th Fighter Group I can't help but feel this page is more an attack against some people than a serious encyclopediac article.
