[edit] Table figures

Are these the best figures available? The 300 don't add up (by 20!), and neither do the 200. The official Ch. of Deps. website isn't much help. Hajor 14:00, 11 Jan 2004 (UTC)

I corrected the table, i think now it makes sense... a few issues with the official site, and some deputies were independent, so i added the change to the table.. - Litebox

Blast and damn! The good ones lost!

[edit] MMP or parallel voting?

I've noticed that in both houses, some (60% in the Chamber and 75% in the Senate) are elected by a similar concept to New Zealand's "electorate vote" and the rest (40% in the Chamber ad 25% in the Senate) are elected by a similar concept to New Zealand's "party vote." Is the system Mixed Member Proportional (which means all seats are distributed according to the party votes) or parallel voting (which means that only the "list seats" are proportionally distributed)? • I just found on the respective articles that the Chamber of Deputies utilises MMP and the Senate utilises parallel voting. Scott Gall 06:43, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
