[edit] Heat for good growth?

I'm not sure that this assertion is correct - a UKOasis member has had a chamerops for some time in the UK, and it has grown extremely well in the UK summers (one of them is now about 12 feet tall). I have a few at 52 degrees North, and they've already shown growth in April.
