Is there any reason whatsoever that this page is at CHAN (a name which maybe 3 people in BC use) instead of BCTV? Kirjtc2 03:43, 15 Jan 2005 (UTC)

  • Cause that's the call sign. User:24.87.116.36

And these "3 people" would be who? It is because that is there call letters, as already answered. Other stations searches on this website are referred to by station identification ("call letters") too. a search for "bctv" will re-direct to you to CHAN. User:Xm2631

The current logo used on the wikipedia page for CHAN is not the logo used On Air. CHAN (BCTV- Global) simply uses the Global logo for the ident on air. Shouldn't this be reflected as such. This is sort of like the CIVT logo situation too I suppose. I don't know. Just a thought. 24.81.146.253 03:33, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Digital

According to the page, digital was expected September 2006. It's now November. Any news to update this? Might be good to at least state it in past tense now. User:pbryan 2006-11-03 09:46 PST.

[edit] Early station photos

What happened to all the neat photos from the station's early history? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mjlarochelle (talkcontribs) 05:06, 13 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Chan8.png

Image:Chan8.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:15, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] If CHAN has separate transmitters

If CHAN has separate transmitters, does CHEK? I don't get CHEK over-the-air at all, so I wouldn't know. If it does, then I think that the category "List of Transmitters of CHAN-TV" could be changed to "List of Transmitters of CHAN-TV or CHEK-TV". There could be a second table within that category that is similar in format to the table for CHAN-TV.
