[edit] Fair use for Bella Rosenfeld

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

  1. it is an example of Chagal painting of Bella, that she is most notable of;
  2. it is of much lower resolution than the original (copies made from it will be of very inferior quality)
  3. the reproduction is only being used for informational purposes.
  4. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows the subject of this article and why she is notable. Alex Bakharev 12:31, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
  5. Most probably the image qualifies for the {{PD-RusEmpire}} as it was done in 1917 but I cannot find the month of the fist public demonstration of the artwork.

[edit] Fair use for Marc Chagall and List of Chagall's artwork

The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

  1. I believe using a low quality reproduction of an image for a critical commentary on the author's style constitutes fair use as described in the copyright law of the United States
  2. Most probably the image qualifies for the {{PD-RusEmpire}} as it was done in 1917 but I cannot find the month of the fist public demonstration of the artwork.
