Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences (C.S.A.S.) was founded in 1986. The school occupies the same building that Riverside did before it was closed down. The school was one of the first magnet schools in the area and it follows the principles laid out in the Paideia Proposal written by Mortimer Adler.
