Chassis cab

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A chassis cab is a body style often found in medium duty trucks.

Instead of providing the customer with a pre-assembled bed, cargo container or other equipment, the customer is given the vehicle with just chassis rails and a cab that allow him/her to assemble any desired aftermarket equipment, for instance an RV conversion or an ambulance package customized for the needs of the costumer.

Aftermarket equippers often make their own packages that can be ordered for the truck.
