Charlie McGee

Charlene "Charlie" Roberta McGee is the fictional protagonist of the novel Firestarter by the American author Stephen King.

Charlie McGee, a young girl possessing many potential abilities, amongst them most notably pyrokinesis; the ability to create fire with her mind. Charlie is a mutant, she was born with her abilities due to her parents.

Charlie had her powers since she was born. They would activate whenever she got angry or upset. This included: setting fire to a waste basket, her mother's hands, curtains, a teddy bear, and even her own hair. Andy managed to teach her to never use this ability.

It is later stated that, when Charlie grows older, she will be able to cause nuclear explosions by shear force of will. She will be able to crack the world in two. Unlike her parents, Charlie doesn't receive any strain from using her abilities.

When Charlene was born, she showed several strange abilities. Her parents knew that she was different, but they never said a word about it. Charlie set several things on fire, until her father instilled that it was a "Bad Thing".

Charlie showed several abilities, including telekinesis, and she has some moderate control over it. It is made clear that she doesn't have complete control. When she tried to pulled coins out of pay phone, telekinetically, she accidentally set fire to a man's feet.

Charlie has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is described as pretty and looks like her mother, Vicky.
