Charlesland

Charlesland is located on the southside of Greystones in Co. Wicklow and about 18 miles from Dublin city. Charlesland has about 1500 houses and apartments, a neighbourhood shopping complex with supermarket, hairdressers, pizza take-away, a pharmacy, and also a number of pre-schools and a large sports and recreation complex. A major new shopping centre, retail warehousing, primary school and garda station may be built in the future (planning application with An Bord Pleanala as of March 2008).

Charlesland is fast becoming very popular for its sports complex. Already located in the area is a private fitness center consisting of a gym and swimming pool, and a large council facility including several outdoor 5-a-side pitches, tennis and basketball courts, a baseball ballpark, a running track, a skatepark and a soccer pitch.
