Rev. Charles Tigard is the interim pastor at MCC Key West[1]. He was formerly associate pastor at Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco[2] SF Gate articlein San Francisco, California[3].
He served on the denominational staff of Metropolitan Community Church[4] for six years as an assistant to the Board of Elders and Vice Moderator of MCC Rev. Elder Don Eastman. He was Assistant Director of Congregational Development responsible for relationships with clergy and development of training programs for MCC clergy students. In August 2005 Tigard accepted the position of associate pastor at MCC San Francisco. He served as ministerial intern at Mt. Hollywood Congregational Church[5], UCC, in Los Angeles from 2004 to 2005.[6]
He earned a Master of Divinity degree with honors from Claremont School of Theology in California. He holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Marlboro College, Vermont.
