Charles Henry Lyell

The Hon. Charles Henry Lyell (1875 - 1918) was a Liberal MP who died in World War I.
He was elected MP for East Dorset in a by-election serving until 1910. He won another by-election in April 1910 for Edinburgh South which he represented until his death.
He was commissioned as Major in the Royal Garrison Artillery and died on 18 October 1918 of heart failure following influenza while serving as Assistant Military Attache to the USA and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
