Charles Gaines (c. 1957 - September 23, 2006) was the fire chief in Fort Worth, Texas at the time of his death. He was previously a fire commander in Oklahoma City. His tenure included the time of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in 1995. Gaines died unexpectedly September 23, 2006 of suspected natural causes.
