Charles Egerton

Field Marshal Sir Charles Comyn Egerton, KCB (1848-1921) was a senior British Army officer.

He was the third son of Sir Philip Grey Egerton, 9th Baronet (1767-1829). He was educated at Rossall School.
[edit] Career
He was promoted Field Marshal in 1917. He was a member of the Council of India, and Commander of the Somaliland Field Force in World War I.
Egerton was the author of "Hill Warfare on the North-West frontier of India"
