Charles Dickens Museum

The Charles Dickens Museum is at 48 Doughty Street in the district of Holborn, London, England. It occupies a typical Georgian terraced house which was Charles Dickens' home from April 1837 (a year after his marriage) to December 1839. Dickens moved on to grander homes as his wealth increased and his family grew, but this is the only surviving house that he owned in London. The museum opened in 1925.
