Chaos Merchant

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chaos Merchant is a term created by the Church of Scientology's founder, L. Ron Hubbard. Merchants whose product creates chaos, or merchants whose income increases if chaos becomes greater, are collectively grouped as Chaos Merchants or Merchants of Chaos. [1] Opposite a chaotic environment, or a chaotic world, would be a peaceful, orderly world.

[edit] Who are these people

  • Street drug dealers, whose product is repeatedly shown, linked to crime, are Merchants of Chaos.
  • Secretive international arms trade dealers who illegally sell quantities of weapons, will increase income in times of greater chaos.
  • With greater chaos, more news is sold. Newspapers were specified by Hubbard to be Chaos Merchants.
  • When chaos increases, police forces must necessarily grow larger. Police, fire, and emergency services increase as chaos increases. Those who manage and control these services wax more wealthy as chaos increases.
