Chanodichthys is a genus of cyprinid fish, consisting of 5 species. The type species is the Mongolian redfin, Leptocephalus mongolicus. The name is derived from the Greek word chanos, meaning "abyss, mouth opened, inmensity", and the Greek word ichthys, meaning "fish".
