Chandrasekhar Billavara is a 38 year old who owns a coffee shop in San Francisco. In 2007, Billavara won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the $1,500 Champion No-Limit Hold'em event. This was his first ever major tournament cash. The week before the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em even Billavara competed in another $1,500 WSOP event where he busted out on the third hand of play. After his poor showing in the first event, Billavara almost withdrew from any other WSOP events. A lucky streak at the craps table lead him to reconsider.

Billavara competes in a weekly home game with friends. He jokes that he looks forward to confronting his friends by stating, “Now, I will look at them and say – are you trying to bluff me? Are you crazy? Look at this gold bracelet on my wrist! You want to try and bluff me?” [1]

As of 2007, Chandrasekhar Billavara has tournament winning of over $720,000.[2]
