Chad Walter

Chad Walter (born June 10, 1971 in Albion, New York), is the crew chief for Hendrick Motorsports' #5 Lowe's Chevrolet in the NASCAR Busch Series.

Before he got the job in 2005, he was an engineer for Hendrick's Busch program, as well as having worked with Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Bobby Labonte, and NEMCO Motorsports.

He studied at Cornell University. He is married to his wife, Sherry Walter.

In late February, 2008 he was suspended from all NASCAR events for six races because the rear spoiler of Dale Earnhardt Jr. did not meet requirements. He was also fined $35,000 and placed on probation until December 31, 2008.[1]
