[edit] Biography

Lewis was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 1974. He holds a Master's of Science degree in applied psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He has trekked across the globe in search of the paranormal. From tracking vampires in Transylvania and chasing Chupacabras in Puerto Rico to searching for the elusive monster in Loch Ness and pursuing ghosts in Ireland's castles, Lewis has acquired a wealth of research knowledge and experience.[1]

In 2004, Chad Lewis and fellow paranormal investigator Terry Fisk founded Unexplained Research LLC, a paranormal research organization. The company investigates all things paranormal, including ghosts, UFOs, cryptids, crop circles, and anomalies.[2] The investigative team utilizes equipment such as EVP recorders, EMF meters, IR thermometers, motion sensors, Geiger counters, camcorders, and digital cameras.[3]

Unexplained Research Publshing, a subsidiary wing of the company, publishes books with a focus on the New Age and paranormal. Lewis is the co-author of the Road Guide to Haunted Locations book series and author of the Hidden Headlines series.

Lewis has been featured in hundreds of radio interviews, TV appearances, and newspaper articles. He has been a radio guest on Coast to Coast AM and Jeff Rense. On television, he has appeared on the ABC Family network's Scariest Places On Earth and the Discovery Channel's A Haunting. In 2007, Lewis and Fisk were the subject of a television documentary, "Haunted South Dakota," produced by South Dakota Public Broadcasting for the Dakota Life series.[4]

Beginning in 1992, Lewis has been the organizer and keynote speaker for the popular Unexplained Conferences. Each conference features two to three additional speakers, a question and answer session, vendor's tables, and book signings.

From 2003 to 2006, Lewis and Fisk hosted The Unexplained, a live, two-hour radio talk show. The program was heard weekly on WOLF 108 FM from 2003-2004 and on WHYS 96.3 FM from 2005-2006. During the first hour, the hosts interviewed either an in-studio or over-the-phone guest who was usually a prominent researcher, psychic, or author in the paranormal or New Age field. The second hour consisted of paranormal news stories, listener calls, and strange stories of legend and history.

On CTV-11, Lewis produces and hosts the television series The Unexplained, a half-hour program dealing with paranormal topics and occasionally featuring in-studio guests. For his laudable work, Lewis received the award for Most Promising Producer (2003) and later for Best Individual Producer (2004).[5]
