Chad Studley Cornes (born 12 November 1979) is a l who made his debut in 1999. Cornes is one of the most versatile players in the AFL and is the son of former Glenelg Tigers and Adelaide Crows coach Graham Cornes and is the older brother of Kane Cornes, who also plays for the Port Adelaide Football Club

Chad was drafted by the Power with pick 9 in the 1997 National Draft, which raised a few eyebrows given his family history and association with cross-town rivals Adelaide Crows. Chad started his career as an key forward, but was moved to Centre Half Back prior to the 2004 season. This move proved a success as he achieved All-Australian honours for that position and was also part of the Power's 2004 Premiership side. In that same season, he also finished 3rd in the Brownlow medal.
