This template is an entry for a table containing the career coaching record of a college football coach. It is to be used in conjunction with the other templates associated with this table (under See also).

| championship = specify 'national' or 'conference' for the type of championship season, if applicable
| year = insert the year of the season being detailed
| team = insert "no" if you do not want to list the team name
(the corresponding parameter must also be set in {{CFB Coaching Record Start}} for this to work)
or insert the name of the team coached
| overall = insert the overall record
| conference = insert "no" if you do not want to list the conference record/standing
(the corresponding parameter must also be set in {{CFB Coaching Record Start}} for this to work)
or insert the conference record
| confstanding = insert the final standing within the conference (only if conference is not set to 'no')
| bowl = insert "no" if you do not want to list information about a bowl game for that season
(the corresponding parameter must also be set in {{CFB Coaching Record Start}} for this to work)
| bowlgame = insert the name of the bowl game played
| bowlopp = insert the name of the team played in the bowl game
| bowlscore = insert the score of the bowl game
| bcsbowl = insert "yes" if the bowl game was a BCS bowl
| ranking = insert "no" if you do not want to list the final ranking for the season
