Effie is sitting and Charles is standing by her. The homestead and outbuildings can be seen in the background with mountain ranges to the right. One of a series of photographs taken by C E W Bean or members of his family during his time spent at the Tuggeranong Homestead while writing the 'Official History of Australia at War 1914-1918'. The photographs comprise of family, friends, staff and the local region. Photographs from the private collection of C E W Bean held at AWM38 3DRL 6673.
