[edit] Status of Ceratops
My name is Vahe Demirjian.
Although it cannot be currently confirmed that Ceratops is a relative of Chasmosaurus, since it is based on poor material, the age of Ceratops (Campanian, Late Cretaceous) makes it very likely that Ceratops is related to Chasmosaurus. Further excavation of more ceratopid material from the Rocky Mountain dinosaur formations may unveil the full anatomy of Ceratops. In this case, Ceratops is allied with Agujaceratops, Chasmosaurus, Dysagnus, and Pentaceratops in the tribe Chasmosaurini, sister to a second tribe of Ceratopinae, which includes Agathaumas, Anchiceratops, Arrhinoceratops, Diceratops, Polyonax, Torosaurus, Triceratops, and Ugrosaurus. Only time may tell. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.194.116.63 (talk • contribs) 19:21, 3 December 2006 (UTC).
