Cernuella virgata is a species of snail in the family Hygromiidae. The species is endemic to the Mediterranean, but is deemed an invasive pest in parts of Australia.[1] This same species of the genus has been recovered from the Roman occupation of Volubilis archaeological site in present day Morocco.
