I am a published author in a number of fields, living in the UK, with wide interests in history, literature, the arts, etc etc. So far I have concentrated here on musical topics (chiefly but by no means exclusively Johannes Brahms and his circle, and the circle around Arnold Schoenberg) as well as 19th-century British naval history (also Portuguese history, various periods), and have also done some necessary work on the writings of Jack Vance.
