[edit] Ohio State University vs. The Ohio State University
Some disagreement over how to refer to OSU. A citation without the "The":
Dayton Daily News (Ohio)

Oxford native awarded EPA scholarship fund
OXFORD - Corin A. Marron of Oxford, a student at Ohio State University, was awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Education Fund.
Is there a citation that includes the "The"? -- JHunterJ 20:47, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- You could just look at the obvious places, ie the Ohio State wiki page or the official OSU web page. 71.67.132.178 21:39, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

- Indeed. The wikipage is Ohio State University, not The Ohio State University, and refers to the institution as "Ohio State" mostly. And the official name of a place is not always how it is referenced elsewhere. So, again, is there an external reference that says "so-and-so attended The Ohio State University"? For now, I'll just revert it to "Ohio State" and leave off both the "The" and the "University", as the OSU page does. -- JHunterJ 15:50, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
