[edit] Reads like an advertisement

It really does. Do we really need the rundown on exactly whats there, which restaurant serves what food and that Lakeside Inn is only available at Winfell forest? - this is all on the website where they can advertise all they like, but for Wikipedia it seems a little too in-depth. I think a paragraph generalising about what's there would be better rather than naming each and every restaurant. JameiLei 23:18, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Removed or refrased the parts of the article that seemed to come directly from the Centerparcs Sales & Marketing Dept. (Spacious villa's, Absolute privacy etc). The article is a bit in-depth indeed. But the information statet in the article is correct, and in some cases critical to.

[edit] Planning permission - unlikely statement

In the article it currently says this:

Planning permission has now been granted by the British government for this new village to be built

I think that is extremely unlikely to be true. The British government does not as far as I know grant planning permission although under some circumstances the relevant minister can rule on an application that has been called in. But that is not what is being said here and I think it's pretty improbable. Planning permission is usually granted by local authorities, and looking at the Center Parcs Warren Wood article that's what it sounds like in there. It would be good if someone who knows the subject (i.e. not me!) could have a look at this and perhaps sort it out, if required. Thanks. 92.234.10.126 (talk) 22:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

From memory, the local parish council turned it down (by 1 vote). Center Parcs appealed, which then went to sec of state. It was then granted on appeal.--GazMan7 (talk) 08:28, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

If that is so then it would be helpful if the article stated it. The Sec of State letting it go on appeal is NOT the same as "the British Government" granting permission, which remains a bizarre idea.92.234.10.126 (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
