[edit] White balloon is banned?

Since when? I checked the source, and it said that some of his movies were banned, not White Balloon specifically. Can anyone verify?--ĶĩřβȳŤįɱéØ 23:54, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

The source does not say the film is banned. It says " Other directors, such as Jafar Panahi ("The White Balloon" and "The Circle") stay but have their films banned". It justs says that some films by Panahi are banned: but not specifically "The White Balloon".--Agha Nader 03:49, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Main article on Iran should definitely link to this

One of the most important things you can know about a government is whether and how it commits censorship. A democracy in which political speech is censored is no democracy at all.
