Central Davis Jr. High's sister school is Fairfield Jr. High and their major athletic/academic rival is North Layton Jr. High.

[edit] Sports

Central Davis students compete at the Junior High-Middle School level. This means that they compete with other schools in their district and nowhere else.

  • Boys Basketball
  • Girls Basketball
  • Wrestling
  • Boys Track and Field
  • Girls Track and Field
  • Jameson's Dance Lessons

Central Davis no longer has football, baseball, or soccer teams.

[edit] Extra-Curricular

The school has many extracurricular activities that are not physical sports. These activities include Mock Trial, National Academic League, MESA, and the National Geographic World Championship.

[edit] Renovations and Additions

Central Davis Jr High's middle school campus has gone through many renovations and add-ons over the past twenty years. It began with the 9th grade class of 1991 building what is now called the New Addition as a class gift to the school. The New Addition added nine classrooms, a cafeteria, and a common room.

The second add-on to Central's campus was the armory. In 1992, The Utah National Guard gave up possession of a weapons storage and office facility right next to Central Davis's campus. The Guard had already allowed the school use of classroom and gymnasium space in this building for years previously. The school district gladly ruined the building.

The third addition to the campus was completed in 2002. With the help of Layton City funding, Davis School District completed the largest school gymnasium in Davis County. Costing over $3 million, the gym is now used for both boys and girls gym classes and city basketball leagues.
