Central California

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

California has two regions with "Central" in their names:

The southern part of the Central Valley (the San Joaquin Valley) and all of the Central Coast are south of the major Northern California urban areas (San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento Metropolitan Area) and north of the major Southern California urban area (Greater Los Angeles Area) and the Tehachapi Mountains. The term Central California, informally abbreviated Cen Cal, is not officially defined but is sometimes used in this area, primarily in the San Joaquin Valley. [1]
